KAPIO TERMS

These terms govern your use of Kapio's website and iOS app. Kapio is built for language learning through real-world moments, not for safety-critical translation, formal instruction, or public content sharing.
Kapio provides an iOS language learning experience that can create live subtitles for scenes in front of you, show meanings, play sentence audio through device text-to-speech, and save selected moments as a private visual language journal.
Kapio may use AI systems and other providers to generate subtitles and related learning content. Generated content can be helpful, but it may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a specific situation. You should not rely on Kapio for emergency, legal, medical, financial, navigation, or safety-critical translation.
Kapio is intended for adult, self-directed language learners. By using Kapio, you confirm that you can use the service under these terms and under the rules that apply where you live.
Kapio may offer free usage allowances and paid access through Kapio Plus. App Store purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and policies.
Kapio does not receive your payment card details. You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription through your Apple account. Deleting your Kapio account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
You agree not to misuse Kapio. This includes:
You keep your rights in the moments you choose to save. You give Kapio permission to process saved memories and related data as needed to provide the app, sync your memories, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and operate the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the scenes you capture and save. Avoid capturing private, sensitive, or identifying information about other people without appropriate permission.
Kapio, the website, app design, brand, software, copy, and related materials are owned by Kapio or its licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of Kapio's technology or brand.
Kapio may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves. Subtitle generation, language availability, subscriptions, and saved memory features may depend on device capabilities, network access, backend availability, third-party providers, App Store requirements, and account status.
Kapio is provided as available and without warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law. Kapio does not guarantee that generated subtitles will always be accurate, that the service will always be uninterrupted, or that every language feature will be available in every region or circumstance.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kapio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses related to your use of the service.
You may stop using Kapio at any time. Kapio may suspend or end access if you misuse the service, create risk for other users or Kapio, violate these terms, or if continued operation becomes impractical or unlawful.
Kapio may update these terms as the service changes. When terms change, the updated date on this page will change. Continued use of Kapio after an update means you accept the updated terms.
